Márquez decides not to undergo surgery for his double vision problems

In the last two months, the Spaniard has followed a treatment based on rest, after the fall he suffered while practicing enduro, the week before the Algarve Grand Prix.

In the very brief statement, the golden wing brand limits itself to pointing out that the Cervera (Lleida) corridor has continued to comply with its visiting regimen for Dr. Bernat Sánchez Dalmau , and that it will continue to do so in the coming weeks.

“During the visits to his trusted ophthalmologist, the progress has been considered favorable, and as a consequence, Márquez will continue with a conservative plan over the next few weeks,” the note reads. From this communication it is extracted that, at least for the moment, both the Catalan and the medical team that treats him have chosen not to go through the operating room again.

Since the fall, Márquez has not been able to train either on a bicycle or on a motorcycle because the double vision, which he already suffered in 2011 and for which he finally had to undergo surgery, is reproduced when he tries to focus on certain points.

At this point, it remains to be seen how the multi-champion evolves over the next month, the time remaining until the first pre-season tests of 2022 , which should be held in Sepang (Malaysia) at the beginning of February. The date scheduled for the start of the World Cup is March 6 , in Qatar .

In this latest message, HRC makes no reference to the condition of the #93 ‘s right arm, which forced him to spend nine months away from the circuits and from which, when he hit his head in October, he was still recovering.
