If everything goes as normal, Marc Márquez will reappear at the handlebars of the Honda RC213V of the Repsol Honda team on Tuesday of next week, during the official MotoGP test that will be held for two days at the Marco Simoncelli Circuit in Misano.
Before that, however, the Spanish rider wants to do a test on a street bike, almost certainly a Honda CBR 600 , a definitive test of strength in his right arm that he plans to do in the coming days.
As an appetizer to this test, Márquez has gotten on a mountain bike to start checking how his right arm reacts, operated for the fourth time at the beginning of June in the United States. Since then, Marc has had two medical check-ups, one every six weeks, with always positive results. The last one, on Wednesday of last week, consisted of a CAT scan to certify that the bone had fused correctly.
From there, the runner received the OK from the doctors to start training relatively normally, increasing the load intensity in the affected area. On Saturday Marc uploaded a video to his networks training with great intensity, both in the gym and on the athletics track, always with his brother Alex Márquez.
This Monday, the runner, who had already done a road bike (August 22), has uploaded a new image to his networks, this time with a BTT, a mountain bike, much more demanding for the strength of the arms than the of road.
This new step is part of the progress being made by the rider, who this week will travel to a speed circuit to ride a street sports bike before making the final decision, which all points to being present at the Next week’s Misano at the handlebars of the Honda prototype for 2023.
For HRC, as explained by the team’s team manager, Alberto Puig, Marc’s absence from next week’s tests “would be a problem”.
“Normally the Misano test is very important to prepare a prototype for the Valencia test, if Marc is not in Misano we will go blind as we have been up to now,” settled the former rider.
