Archie Harrison and Lilibet, the royal offspring of Harry and Meghan, could become prince and princess – even against Prince Charles’ wishes.
London – Just recently, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were happy about the birth of their daughter Lilibet. After a real drama about its origins had erupted in the media shortly after the name was announced, rumors arose that Lilibet and little brother Archie Harrison could never become prince and princess. According to several reports, the reason for this is the Royal Prince Charles. An insider source told the British Sunday newspaper Mail on Sunday that “Harry and Meghan were told that their son Archie would never be a prince – not even if Charles is made king”.
This harrowing news is said to have overtaken the royal couple on Sunday (June 20th, 2021) shortly before the big unveiling interview with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey. “Prince Charles wanted to take active steps to deprive Archie of his ultimate birthright,” the secret source of Mail on Sunday is further quoted.

But now the prominent Royal historian Robert Lacey has spoken on the matter. According to the expert, the whole matter has already been discussed and discussed at the highest level. According to this, Prince Charles could only change the rules if he was appointed king. Currently, however, the right, according to which the royal siblings Lilibet and Archie are entitled to the title of prince and princess, can only be changed by Queen Elizabeth II. However, the Royal expert rules out this possibility – the Queen will not change the rules during her remaining term of office. “For me it is certain that the Queen and her advisors have already spoken extensively on this topic and the future royal status of Lilibet and Archie is therefore not in danger for the rest of their time,” the historian told the British daily The Times.
Even if Prince Charles were to rise to the office of king in the future, Lacey said he would have little time to deal with such a rule change – another project would then require his full attention. The expert recently told the American news website Daily Beast that King Charles would make his wife Camilla Parker Bowles queen shortly after his appointment as king. “He will then concentrate fully on gathering support for his plan to make Camilla the recognized consort of the king. It is rather unlikely that he wants to attract the public’s supposed displeasure with such a rule change. “
