The Montgomery County Fairgrounds was created in 1949 with the construction of 12 facilities to host the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair, a community event for 4-H members to showcase their award-winning agricultural and livestock projects. Today, the Montgomery County Fairgrounds have 42 buildings and the facilities are rented year-round to businesses and community organizations for shows and special events. The fairgrounds hosts a number of annual events in addition to the farm fair, including the 4th of July fireworks and the Sugarloaf Craft Festival.
