MotoGP - Márquez: "In Thailand we are not far from the best"

The Honda rider reappeared in the Misano tests 100 days after undergoing surgery again and, this time, it seems that the solution is allowing him to reach, more and more, the Marc Márquez that we all knew before his unfortunate accident in Jerez 2020.

In Japan he already led a session in mixed conditions, where he moves with skill, but this Friday, in Buriram , the Spaniard was the fastest in FP1, and at the end of the day he showed the fourth fastest time, which could have been better than not having found yellow flags and traffic in the final part of the session.

“Every time I feel better and the riding style comes more naturally to me. I can adapt to the bike better than before,” said an extremely satisfied Márquez at the end of the day.

“Today I told the team that I used too many jokers. I attacked from the start, and that’s why I fell. My way of finding the limit is like in the past, which is to make mistakes in the first free trial,” he continued with his review of the day.

The smile has settled on the face of the Honda rider, which is a clear indication that things are on the right track.

“What makes me happier is seeing that in Motegi I felt better than in Aragón, and here better than in Motegi”, he pointed out.

“My pace says we’re here to fight for the podium, but that’s not the goal. I hope it rains tomorrow, so I can reserve energy,” added the #93.

Finally, they insisted again to Marc if he is ready to take on big goals.

“If the race were today we would not be far from the first. This is the best Friday of the season, because I was able to push from the beginning and until the end,” said the boy from Cervera .
