The Japanese Honda rider set the best time in the Warm Up this Sunday morning with a time of 1.46.746, completing a ten-lap session with used soft rear rubber that certified the good pace exhibited by the LCR team rider. Johann Zarco , who will start from the front row of the grid, was second, while Brad Binder completed the ‘podium’ of the session.
Alex Rins set the fourth fastest time showing, once again, that he is among the fastest, just like Maverick Viñales , who was fifth but will start far behind on the grid.
Marc Márquez set the sixth fastest time after taking advantage of Pecco Bagnaia ‘s wheel for the entire first part of the practice session, with whom he was about to collide from behind. The Honda man saved a crash at turn 12 although he had to go long to the escape area, saving the mishap.
Alex Márquez was seventh, with Danilo Petrucci , Enea Bastianini and Aleix Espargaró completing the top 10.
The big favorites fell far behind, Fabio Quartararo was 11th, ahead of Pecco Bagnaia and Joan Mir . The Suzuki rider suffered a crash as soon as he started training at turn 11, but the Mallorcan was able to return to the box and start with the second bike nine minutes from the end.
Franco Morbidelli finished 16th, ahead of Valentino Rossi , Pol Espargaró and Jack Miller, who could only finish 19th.
