About two months in advance, the fever for Formula 1 in Spain was reflected in the sale of tickets for the 2022 Spanish Grand Prix, an event that the public has received with open arms after in 2020 it took carried out without the presence of the public and in 2021 with only 1,000 subscribers due to COVID-19 .
In addition to these two years without being able to attend the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya, the position of Carlos Sainz in the team that currently leads the hierarchical order of the grid and the return of the always acclaimed Fernando Alonso together with the Alpine team in an exciting new stage , have also meant a massive increase in the interest of the Spanish fans for the 2022 Spanish GP.
After seeing that said F1 fever caused a faster-than-expected sale of all the tickets that had originally been put up for sale, for example, the more than 3,000 seats in the Carlos Sainz Grandstand were sold out in a matter of minutes, the organizers of the event and those responsible for the circuit made the decision to increase the total capacity for the weekend.
To thank the fans for this support, starting tomorrow (April 21) new tickets will be available to the general public, expanding the capacity of a 2022 Spanish GP that will be held from May 20 to 22 , within a month.
Tickets can be purchased through the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya website from 11:00 a.m. (Spanish peninsular time). These new locations will give access to the venue during the three days of the Grand Prix and will be located in different areas of the circuit.

- Grandstand A , located at the end of the main straight, with an excellent view of turns 1, 2 and 3, has been enlarged. Tickets for this area will be priced at 340 euros .
- In Grandstand M the available locations have also been extended. It is a covered grandstand located between turns 3 and 4 and can be purchased for 350 euros .
- The Circuit will also reinstate a grandstand that disappeared after the pandemic, Grandstand I. This area is located in the last corner of the circuit, after the final chicane and overlooking the entrance to the main straight. The price will be 340 euros .
