Northeast Ohio Farmpark Lake

Lake Farmpark is a charming farm and learning center just 25 miles east of downtown Cleveland. See 50 different breeds of cattle, marvel at the honey and maple syrup they make, and enjoy one of the many special events, like the annual Vintage Ohio Wine Festival held in the park. It is fun for the whole family.

The exhibits

Lake Farmpark invites visitors to see daily demonstrations of hand and machine milking, cheese making, ice cream making, and other farming skills. In addition, the park is home to 50 breeds of livestock, from pigs to alpacas, and children, in particular, will be delighted to see the different animals fed and cared for.

Lake Farmpark’s “Plan Science Center” features exhibits on hydroponic and organic gardening, growing honey and creating a viable greenhouse. The Woodland Center offers exhibits on forest conservation, maple syrup harvesting, and other outdoor activities of local interest. Regular events include horse and wagon rides and sheep herding demonstrations.

Farmpark is also home to Canine Meadow, a dog park where your dog can socialize with other dogs off leash. This part of the park is open from sunrise to one hour after dark.

Lake Farmpark Events

Lake Farmpark hosts an ambitious calendar of monthly events, including folk art exhibits, musical performances, and seasonal celebrations. Some of the most popular are the annual »Vintage Ohio« wine festival, which takes place every August, the fall corn maze and the arts and folk music festival «Village Peddler Festival», and «Country Lights», the spectacular December festival that always sells out. .

Visiting Lake Farmpark

Lake Farmpark is about 25 miles east of downtown Cleveland and can be easily reached via I-90. The park offers ample free parking and a delicious gift shop, selling Ohio-made items, including park-made honey and maple syrup.
