If you are on a diet and you have the feeling that during the weekend you lose less weight, you are right. According to a study by the University of Washington Medical School (USA), we eat more food on weekends than on weekdays, which together with the tendency to reduce the level of physical exercise on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday makes us stop losing as much weight as we expected.
On the other hand, a study published recently in the journal Appetite revealed that two out of three Spanish adults eat fruit for lunch and dinner only from Monday to Friday , but they stop consuming it when the weekend arrives. To this is added that on the weekend we tend to skip the balance recommended by the "food pyramid" . Specifically, other research published in the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing revealed that we consume more foods rich in calories, especially fat, from Friday night to Sunday.
