Alfa Romeo had a great idea that shows that not only Red Bull Racing is capable of surprising with spectacular and memorable videos. The Biscione team (this is how the ‘snake’ on its shield is called) decided to celebrate today in Milan the 112th anniversary of its foundation, and paid tribute to the Italian city on its anniversary with an exclusive event: Valtteri Bottas wore the Alfa Romeo’s passion to the immortal streets that gave life to the brand.

The Finnish driver of the Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN , Valtteri Bottas, drove the C33 of the 2013 season (with the livery of the current car of the team) awakening the city of Milan. Starting from Piazza Duomo, where the pit area used to be, to go through Piazza San Babila, Porta Nuova, Central Station and the futuristic City Life district, before ending your tour at the new Alfa Romeo flagship store in Via Gattamelata .
That arrival area should not be misunderstood. And it is not a question of a purely marketing or commercial choice, but of a link with its roots and history. This is the area where the Portello was located, the first production center of the brand, where the Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili, which would later become famous as ALFA, was presented to the world, marking the beginning of an extraordinary automobile history that he has been in Formula 1 at very different times in its existence.
Bottas had a lot of fun being the protagonist of that incredible opportunity. The Finn, arrived from Mercedes, with the C42 , is having a very positive season that places him in eighth place in the drivers’ world championship. Together with Guanyu Zhou, who was also present in Milan as a luxury spectator, the Biscione team sits in sixth place in the constructors’ championship, just six points behind Alpine after the recent Canadian GP.
