Pokémon GO: how to defeat the boss Giovanni of Team GO Rocket

In previous Pokémon GO guides we have offered you the best tips to defeat the leaders Arlo, Cliff and Sierra of Team GO Rocket, but above all of them is Giovanni , the head of this band of evildoers and about whom we are going to talk to explain how to beat him.

The Pokémon used by Team GO Rocket’s boss Giovanni

Unlike the previously mentioned leaders, Giovanni has only been seen by the game with some temporary or special investigation task . Therefore, unless you carry them out, it will be impossible to challenge him to combat, since he will not appear normally in PokéStops or in Team Go Rocket balloons.

So, as of today, June 2021, you can find him carrying out some of the missions of the special research task A shadow of seven colors. In this way you will get the Super Radar Rocket , the essential device to meet Giovanni, who will use the following Pokémon:

  • First Pokémon : Persian
  • Second Pokémon : Cloyster, Golem or Machamp
  • Third Pokémon : Ho-Oh

How to defeat Team GO Rocket boss Giovanni

An important detail of Giovanni’s team is that it always has a legendary Pokémon . Currently it is about Ho-Oh, which will always appear in third place, but previously it had others such as Articuno, Zapdos or Moltres. In addition, he also highlights the fact that he will always take Persian out in first position.

Giovanni’s Pokémon are very powerful , but of course the one that can cause you the most problems is the Legendary Pokémon that he has on his team. At least, if you beat it, you can capture it, so the effort is definitely worth it.

We leave you with a list of the Pokémon that we recommend the most to face this battle and you can be victorious without problems.
