Pramac-Ducati confirms Zarco and Martín for 2022

Ducati ‘s preferred satellite team, which recently confirmed a three-year extension to its MotoGP partnership, announced Thursday that its rider line-up for 2022 will remain with rookie Jorge Martin , who had a valid contract for next season with Ducati. factory, and with Frenchman Johann Zarco , who thus renews his agreement with the Borgo Panigale house for one more season, the third since he arrived in 2020 from Honda.

“Johann and Jorge have integrated very well into the Pramac Racing team this year. For this reason, together with [team owner] Paolo Campinoti , we have decided to continue with them in 2022. We will make the official bikes available to both of them for next season as well. We are sure that they will give us a lot of satisfaction”, said Paolo Ciabatti , General Manager of Ducati.

Zarco is, right now, second overall in the MotoGP World Championship and this season he has already accumulated three podiums and a fourth place. His teammate, the young Jorge Martín , who is making his debut this year in MotoGP, will reappear this weekend after missing three races due to injury and after having amazed with his first pole position and his first podium in the premier class in the second grand prix of the year.

The only novelty in the announcement is the renewal of Zarco by Ducati for one more season, since Martín has a valid contract directly with the factory for 2022 to race with Pramac, as expected, or with the official team, where the line-up is closed after the renovation of Jack Miller on May 25.
