Rainbow Six Parasite appears on the PlayStation Network with new promotional images and confirms its name change (updated)

Update: Ubisoft has come up with the leak to ensure that the new name for Rainbow Six Quarantine will not be Rainbow Six Parasite, and that it is an internal name that has been used as a placeholder.

They also claim that they will offer new information about the game, as well as the final version of the name they have chosen, very soon.

The pandemic has ended up putting Ubisoft in a very uncomfortable position with respect to Rainbow Six Quarantine. The choice of the name of the new game in the saga of tactical shootings had to change to avoid hurting sensibilities.

The company itself recently commented on the intention to modify the title, but we had not received more information about the change. Now, several images and a patch appeared on PSN change the situation.

Rainbow Six Quarantine will be known from now on as Rainbow Six Parasite thanks to a change yet to be confirmed by Ubisoft itself. Along with the images that you will find below, it has also been announced that the launch patch is now ready, so the possibility of facing a surprise launch has begun to gain momentum.

Far from following in the wake of previous releases in the franchise, Rainbow Six Quarantine was presented as a twist focused on Left 4 Dead-style cooperative action in which we would have to face hordes of zombies.

Ubisoft’s intention was to launch the game sometime between April and September, but it would not be surprising if the latest financial results and the flood of titles it ran into in late 2020 have invited a review of the strategy.
