Regina King knows nothing about her bonding with the new Superman

It’s been a few weeks since it seems that JJAbrams’ production of the new Black Superman would also be looking for a black director according to The Hollywood reporter. The names being considered were Ryan Coogler, Steven Caple, Shaka King, and Ryan Coogler. Between so much name and varied profile in turn, the interest that the production had especially with Regina King began to be heard. The winner of the Oscar for best supporting actress for The Ballad of Beale Street and the Emmy for the Watchmen series debuted with the feature film One Night in Miami in Style. Confirming that King is much more than a great actress, who is predicted a great future within the world of directing, Tiffany Cross in The Cross Connection seems to have been the one who made Regina King herself find out about the rumor of her supposedly good position to direct the new adventure of the DC superhero. “I’m curious, because this is gossip. Rumor has it that you are on the short list to direct Superman. You and Barry Jenkins, both names have been dropped. Anything you want to tell us? ” the presenter finally asked, to which the surprised King replied “Tiffany, that’s a first for me. You have given me the news. ”The decision to be looking for a black director is given by the approach that the production of JJAbrams and Hanna Minghella is clear that the next Superman in the cinema will be black and therefore the project requires a director who can focus the story goes that way.Rumors about King’s position to direct the project also lie in the fact that a few weeks ago it was announced that he was going to adapt the Bitter Root series for Legendary, a story that is set in the Harlem of the 70s in which a family of hunters monsters return them to their normal state of humanity before their transformation.
