Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas Overview

The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas is large enough to feature seven distinct neighborhoods. Two of these are (1) Pool and Sports Area and (2) Vitality at Sea Spa and Gym.

Swimming pool and sports area

The Vitality at Sea sports and pool area and fitness center and spa, along with the other neighborhoods of Central Park, Boardwalk, Entertainment Place, Youth Zone and Royal Promenade, provide passengers with a wide range of experiences on a cruise. Extending the length of the ship, the pool and sports area is a play area for passengers of all ages, with private cabanas, four unique types of pools, and two FlowRider surf simulators, each larger than the FlowRider found in the Freedom class of the line. boats

Building on Royal Caribbean’s Vitality wellness program, guests will be able to soothe mind, body and soul at the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center. New to the spa services menu and exercise line are Kinesis’ unique spa treatments and group classes, a non-impact full-body workout that uses fluid, natural movements to engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously.

The pool and sports area showcase new additions to traditional amenities, including an intimate adults-only sundeck and sports deck. The first beach pool in the sea has a sloping entrance where passengers can dip into the water or relax in colorful beach chairs under an umbrella while the water rolls gently below. Two hot tubs flank either side of the “beach” for passengers who prefer warmer waters. Located on the opposite side of the ship from the beach pool and separated by Central Park six decks below, is the main pool with two side-by-side hot tubs, perfect for lounging and relaxing in the sun.

Overlooking both pools there will be private cabanas, with a dedicated attendant.

Ideal for families

Families looking for fun in the sun will easily see Royal Caribbean’s H2O Zone, punctuated by a giant octopus with its water-spraying slides and tentacles and surrounded by other water-spitting ocean creatures. Separate children’s and existing pools, as well as a dedicated pool for babies and toddlers, are located in the interactive water park and are surrounded by plenty of sun loungers for adults and children. The most competitive set will find refuge in the sports pool, where afternoon water sports include basketball, badminton and water polo, while the morning hours can be devoted to lap swimming.

The solarium

Adults seeking shelter can find comfort in the Solarium. With a redesigned design, passengers have the sensation of floating in the air from the two-story-high glass-paneled enclave designed with seating on multiple “islands” surrounded by water. The adults-only outdoor sundeck offers a pool, two hot tubs, and four hot tubs suspended 136 feet above the ocean. The mezzanine level of the dedicated adult area opens onto the pool deck below, offering additional sun loungers and seating.

The new Solarium Bistro offers casual dining from the Vitality spa menu during the day and transforms into a romantic and intimate setting for special dinners and dancing under the stars in the evenings. It is also the perfect place for a unique dance nightclub experience – Club 20 – popularized on Freedom class ships.

Sports cover

The sports deck in the pool and sports area also features new innovations, including the first zip line at sea and two of the popular FlowRider surf simulators, flanking either side of the raised rear deck. Royal Caribbean favorites like the nine-hole miniature golf course, Oasis Dunes, challenge golfers of varying abilities, and the Sports Court, allows for friendly games of basketball and volleyball. Spectators can cheer on passengers boarding the Wipe Out Bar or enjoy a casual dinner at the Wipe Out Café.

Spa and gym

The Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center encompasses various amenities that are tailored to complete your wellness. The new Vitality at Sea Spa includes a Thermal Suite, featuring heated tile loungers, saunas and steam rooms; three couples massage suites and seven individual treatment rooms – the largest collection at sea. Children and teen passengers will also find their own dedicated spa to enjoy specially catered services. The gym offers vacationers a rich and varied selection of the latest cardio and resistance equipment to train alone or to join one of several classes, including spinning, kickboxing, Pilates, and yoga.

Whether after a satisfying workout or a relaxing spa session, the Vitality Café is a convenient stop for healthy snacks, light meals, and refreshing juices.

Oasis of the Seas is one of the largest cruise ships in the world. An architectural marvel at sea, it spans 16 decks, encompasses 220,000 registered gross tons (GRT), carries 5,400 passengers in double occupancy and has 2,700 cabins. Oasis of the Seas is the first ship to promote the cruise line’s new neighborhood concept of seven distinct themed areas, including Central Park, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, Pool and Sports Zone, and Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center. The ship departs from its home port of Port Canaveral, Florida.
