In the south of the Bavarian state capital, two S-Bahn trains crash into each other. A passenger dies and 14 others are injured.
Schäftlarn – When two S-Bahn trains collided in the Munich district, one person was killed and 14 people were injured.
According to the chief spokesman for the Munich police, 80 other passengers would be medically examined, said Andreas Franken on site in Schäftlarn, south of Munich.
According to the fire department, the victim was a passenger. There was no precise information about the severity of the injuries to the other victims.
According to the police, the two trains collided on Monday around 4:40 p.m. in the area of the Ebenhausen-Schäftlarn station. The cause of the accident is still unclear, said a police spokesman.

The station is on the route of the S7 to Wolfratshausen. As the operator of the S-Bahn, Deutsche Bahn (DB) initially announced via Twitter that there were “objects on the route” in the area between Ebenhausen-Schäftlarn and Baierbrunn.
