Sangria falls in Misano; Miller, to the ground when leading

The start of the Misano race was tremendously eventful, with many independent crashes that have altered the positions of the drivers. The high number of accidents, however, does not come as a surprise in the paddock , since the Moto3 races and, especially, Moto2, had many retirements.

The first of these occurred at the same start, when a touch from Binder caused a multiple accident involving Pol Espargaró, Johann Zarco and Michele Pirro. At first, a possible red flag was feared, since several of the injured drivers remained lying on the gravel; finally, everyone was able to be evacuated before the peloton passed through that first chicane.

A few moments later, on lap two, it was Jack Miller who ended up in the gravel at turn four, leading the pack and trying to go it alone. The Australian driver started from the preferred position, and had a serious chance of winning at Misano. Fortunately, he was able to rejoin the pack.

A few seconds later, Marco Bezzecchi, who was also riding in the front position, went down.

The leaders of the general classification , however, have been able to save the incidents of the opening laps.
