After its return to Asia three years later, Formula 1 travels to the American continent to contest three of the last four races of the 2022 world championship, starting with the United States GP from October 21 to 23.
It will be the nineteenth round of the 2022 world championship, the 43rd edition of the United States GP and the tenth at the Austin circuit .
Write down the times, because they will be more comfortable for Latin America but very different for Spain in terms of the United States GP.

The seven hour difference between Austin, Texas, and Spain means that despite the fact that the United States GP will be at noon in the North American country, in Spain it will be very late at night. In fact, the United States F1 classification will start when it is Sunday in Spain (at 00:00 from Saturday to Sunday) , and the race, at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
For its part, in Latin America the schedule will be much more friendly and without getting up early, because in Austin there is not so much difference with the majority of the countries of Latam. Thus, the classification of the 2022 United States GP will be at 5:00 p.m. in Mexico and the countries that share a time slot, at 6:00 p.m. in Chile or Venezuela and at 7:00 p.m. in Argentina and Uruguay . The F1 race in Austin will be three hours earlier, between 2:00 p.m. in Mexico and 4:00 p.m. in Argentina.

Get to know the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (COTA), home of the United States GP of F1 and MotoGP
The COTA, which is as it is known shortened to the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, was designed by the classic Hermann Tilke together with the American architecture studio HKS. It was not an easy build and there were several problems, but it opened in October 2012, with local hero Mario Andretti.
F1 has only missed its appointment there in the shortened and pandemic-affected 2020 season, inheriting the baton left in 2007 by Indianapolis, the last venue before Austin to host the United States GP.
Despite the fact that F1 is not as followed in the United States (or at least it was not) as NASCAR or IndyCar, Austin usually presents a great entrance with thousands and thousands of fans in its stands.
If you look at the layout of the Circuit of the Americas, you will see similarities with other tracks on the calendar: for example, between turns 3 and 6 of the COTA there are similarities with the Maggots/Becckets complex at Silverstone, and also a resemblance to the curves S for Suzuka. For its part, from turns 12 to 15 it will remind you of the Hockenheim stadium area.
Although if something characterizes the Circuit of the Americas it is the long climb to turn 1, very complicated, which always leaves overtaking and emotion.
In addition, Austin is also the circuit for the MotoGP United States GP .
