Silbereisen's birthday party: "I'm already crying"

40 years old, of which 30 years on stage – that is celebrated. Florian Silbereisen invited to the big hit summer party. There were some emotional surprises for the host.

Gelsenkirchen – Florian Silbereisen appeared on television for the first time at the age of ten with a blonde pony cut and tooth gap. 30 years ago he gave an interview to Karl Moik in the Bavarian dialect.

Silbereisen had to laugh about the short answers in the summer of 1991 at his show “The big hit beach party for his birthday” on Saturday. “Back then I just concentrated on the essentials,” he said at the ARD live show in the amphitheater in Gelsenkirchen. And added: With the mullet hairstyle, he could have become a footballer too.

But Silbereisen became an entertainer and is very successful with it. Meanwhile, the 40-year-old’s hair is shorter, the traditional costume has given way to jeans and a summery white shirt. Appropriately, the “dream ship” captain took a motorboat to his party on the Rhine-Herne Canal. “385 days have passed since our last major Eurovision show with an audience,” he called out to the audience. “But today the wait is finally over.”

Silbereisen in top shape

Silbereisen had several reasons to celebrate – his 40th birthday and his 30th stage anniversary. “Aj, aj, aj, I’m getting old,” said the entertainer at the beginning of the three and a half hour show. “The gray hair is slowly getting more, but I’m in top shape!”

The weather played along with the summer party – under palm trees and at sunset, fans have been celebrating live with their pop stars for a long time. Beatrice Egli, Stefan Mross, Andy Borg, Jürgen Drews, DJ Ötzi and Co. were driven onto the stage either by boat or in a white convertible.

The evening had a few surprises in store for the birthday child. In addition to his former music teachers, Thomas Anders had also come to the show without Silbereisen being said to have known. “You bastard!” He shouted at the sight of the singer and laughed. “He also said that he is traveling abroad and cannot come.”

And Anders had a very special gift with him. The two albums together went platinum, and Silbereisen received the award live on stage on Saturday evening.

Moved to tears

It wasn’t the only emotional moment in the amphitheater: The audience moved Silbereisen to tears with a birthday serenade right at the beginning of the show. “I’m already crying,” said Silbereisen when his fans started the song.

In the end, Silbereisen thanked family and friends back home: “You keep letting me go out into the wide world and when I come home I will be picked up by you. And I love you all very, very much and from the bottom of my heart. “

The Schlager festivals with Silbereisen are a quota guarantee for ARD. Also on Sunday the first announcement was happy that the production of the Jürgens TV GmbH on behalf of the MDR, the BR and the WDR in cooperation with the ORF was the most watched program of the day on German television after the 8pm “Tagesschau” be.

An average of 3.82 million viewers celebrated on the screen, which corresponded to a market share of 19.0 percent.

Before the pandemic and in times of the year other than midsummer August, when many prefer to be outside than to sit in front of the TV, more than six million people were often counted in front of the television at Silbereisen’s hit shows. dpa
