Aschau – folk music singer Stefanie Hertel thinks benches are the perfect way to relax.
“Lingering, coming down and doing nothing, thinking nothing, that is something that we have neglected,” said the 42-year-old at the inauguration of her own “Bankerl” in Aschau im Chiemgau. "That should come to the fore again."
The benches are everywhere in the community and should invite you to linger. Aschau calls itself the world record holder for the greatest density of seats in one place per square meter. Other celebrities also have a place in the "Aschauer Bankerlparade im Priental": Hertels Platz is opposite the bank of TV presenter Carolin Reiber. dpa
