Strathmore’s Backyard Theater offers innovative shows for children every Thursday morning in July at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. The Music Center at Strathmore, a 1,976-seat concert hall and educational complex is located at 10701 Rockville Pike (Route 355), in North Bethesda, MD, immediately adjacent to the Grosvenor-Strathmore Subway Station.

Parking lot
Strathmore’s Backyard Theater parking is available in the Mansion at Strathmore parking lot based on available space. The entrance is located at 10701 Rockville Pike. Additional parking is located at the Grosvenor-Strathmore tube station and along Tuckerman Lane. A SmarTrip card is required to exit the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage. Cards can be purchased inside the Metro station.

Recess Monkey – Seattle’s acclaimed “kindie” trio is comprised of three elementary school teachers who love to entertain.

Andre & Polly – Ear Snacks Live – This award-winning duo from Los Angeles makes delicious and clever music for kids with an easy indie-folk vibe with witty lyrics and super catchy melodies. With a mix of originals and classic covers like The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun”, the concert is a guaranteed song. Portions of this show will be recorded live for a future episode of the popular Andrew & Polly podcast, Ear Snacks . The duo’s album Odds & Ends received a Parents’ Choice Award, and artists Andrew and Polly received the Joe Raposo Children’s Music Award from the ASCAP Foundation.
