Surgical victory for Bagnaia in Jerez; Marquez 4th

The Italian started from pole, commanded all the laps of the race and managed to keep Fabio Quartararo at bay, who could not find any hole to put the wheel through, despite exhibiting a pace as powerful as that of his rival .

Bagnaia is the fifth different winner in the six events that have been held to date, an example of the level of competitiveness of this World Cup. Quartararo, for his part, becomes the sole leader of the general table, with a seven-point advantage over Aleix Espargaró, who completed the podium. This is the second consecutive grand preview in which Noale’s brand ends up in the drawer, something unprecedented in its history in the heavy motorcycle category. Aleix stayed close to Marc Márquez and Jack Miller at all times, in a second group that concentrated most of the attention. With this result, Aprilia will lose in 2023 the concessions that it enjoyed until now.

Márquez was able to cross the finish line fourth, his best result of the season, and after an attack on Miller (fifth) perpetrated on the last lap.

Joan Mir finished sixth, one second behind the Australian, even though in no case was he able to dispute the place with the Ducati rider. The seventh position went to Takaaki Nakagami, already 15 seconds behind the winner, while Enea Bastianini (eighth), Marco Bezzecchi (ninth) and Brad Binder (tenth) closed a top ten from which Pol Espargaró (eleventh) was left out.
