We know that the most viable way to know for sure if we are expecting a baby is to take a pregnancy test. However, it is possible that we can be almost sure (or at least suspect) that a baby is on the way even before doing it, paying attention to the symptoms of our body.

Feeling butterflies in the stomach is a feeling that has always been related to love. After becoming a mother, I deduced that this simile would have occurred to a woman, and more specifically a pregnant woman. Some of us have felt bubbles, others butterflies, and although the descriptions we hear of it are diverse, there is no doubt: it is the first (and romantic) manifestation of the baby that is in our womb.

One of the most obvious things that tell us that a woman is expecting a baby is her belly. Some people, seeing her, can't help but feel like touching her or caressing her just like her own mother does.

From the moment we find out that we are expecting a baby, instinct makes us gently caress our belly and speak through it to that little being that is growing inside us.

It is likely that during pregnancy a hyperpigmented line appears on your belly that seems to separate it in two. It does not come out for all women, and some are more noticeable than others.

When you see a pregnant woman with a huge gut, it is often thought "what a bigger baby she will have inside", but the truth is that the size of the gut has no direct relationship with the size of the baby.

The shape of the pregnant woman's belly is the subject of many comments and speculation. There are those who believe that according to its shape it can be predicted if the woman is expecting a boy or a girl.

It is common for pregnant women to feel itchy skin on the belly and perhaps the breasts as well. This is due to the fact that as the pregnancy progresses, both the skin of the belly as well as that of the breasts is stretched producing an itching in the tissues, in some cases very intense.
