There are few things more comforting than a hug from a loved one. Physical contact and closeness with that person is a kind of refuge in which we feel comfortable. For our children we are their people of reference, their refuge, therefore hugs are one of the most powerful signs of affection that we can give them.

Over time I have learned to see the two faces of practically every situation I go through in my life: the good and the bad side. Guilt is a feeling that is not exempted from this categorization either, because although it is hateful, it generates anguish and unease, it also helps us to reflect: today I want to play the "devil's advocate" and talk about a small positive part that contains guilt.
Solidarity is a very important value in our development as people who belong to a society, and obviously the best way to understand its meaning -especially when we are children- is to put it into practice. This time of year is fantastic for precisely that: the arrival of Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men usually means the arrival of new toys at home, so it is a fantastic opportunity to donate to children in vulnerable situations. If we also involve our children, we are teaching them to relate with empathy, humility and respect.
Transmitting values to our children is one of the most important responsibilities we have as parents. It is clear that the best way to do it is through example and living them on a day-to-day basis, but when they are young, we can begin to reflect on them through books.
