The house of Borgo Panigale has used its social networks to announce that on January 28 it will make the official launch of the motorcycle that everyone points to as the rival to beat in the season that starts the first weekend of March in Qatar.
Pecco Bagnaia and Jack Miller will be in charge of driving the factory Desmosedici GP22, with which Ducati hopes to win a title that has been resisted since 2007, when Casey Stoner won it for the first and only time for the Italians.
The Desmosedici GP22 arrives preceded by enormous expectation, fueled by comments from the brand’s own official riders.
“Ducati has done a great job, because improving a bike that was already fantastic is not easy,” said Bagnaia after testing the first GP22 prototype at the Jerez tests last November.
“Next year’s Ducati will dominate”, went even further Jack Miller, who turns 27 this Tuesday and sees in the 2022 bike a machine capable of subduing the MotoGP grid.
In addition to Bagnaia and Miller, the 2022 full factory prototype will also be in the hands of Jorge MartÃn and Johann Zarco, from the Pramac team, as well as Luca Marini, from the new VR46 line-up.
