The brothers Márquez and Alzamora make their breakup official

The Márquez brothers used their respective social networks this Wednesday to make official what was already known, that they have decided to do without the person who took them to the MotoGP World Championship, the former rider Emilio Alzamora .

In a post, Marc Márquez thanked the work that Alzamora has done at his side for 17 years.

“Thank you very much Emilio for all these years together! I still remember the first day I walked through the door of Monlau Competición when I was 12 years old. I wish you the best!”, writes Marc along with two photos, the first of his beginnings in Monlau, the team with which he began running the Spanish championship.

Alex Márquez also uploaded photos to his networks with the man who has managed his sports career until this summer, when he managed to close an agreement with Gresini Racing to sign a two-year contract with the Italian team associated with Ducati.

“Thank you Emilio for all the dedication and work during all these years, it has been a pleasure to share this great stage with you! Good luck”, says Alex, twice world champion always in teams managed by Alzamora.

Immediately after both brothers announced the breakup, which became known on August 20, Alzamora himself uploaded a post to social networks to announce the separation.

“From AC Management we announce that by mutual agreement we separate our paths with the Márquez brothers after 18 years of fruitful and successful relationship,” it can be read.

In an official statement, the company that Emilio founded to manage the Márquez careers, AC Management, explained the breakup.

“Emilio began working with Marc when he was just 12 years old and he enrolled him in his pilot training school. Later, he also began to manage Alex’s career, three years younger. Throughout these years Marc has won 8 titles world championships and Alex 2, establishing itself as a reference in the MotoGP championship”, the note begins.

“The Márquez brothers thank Emilio for the work he has done over the years and his dedication throughout this time where we have achieved great triumphs. After discussing it among the three of us, we have decided that the time has come to take different paths and start a new stage”, he adds.

Emilio Alzamora, for his part, assures that “an important stage of my life is coming to an end with the Márquez brothers and, first of all, I want to thank their parents, Roser and Julià, for the trust they placed in me. During this long relationship we have worked together Marc and Alex side by side to achieve great and unforgettable success”.

“From AC Management we have worked and contributed all our experience managing their sports careers so that the Márquez brothers have achieved the great image they have and be respected both professionally and personally. All these professional successes of Marc and Alex would not have been possible without the collaboration of countless people who bet on them from the beginning and who accompanied us to the top. I would also like to recognize all the sponsors, teams and professionals who trusted in every step we took to achieve the successes of these years”.

Emilio remarks about the relationship with Marc that “I have no words to describe this story that we started when Marc was 12 years old and in which I have humbly contributed all my knowledge. Together we have had unforgettable and incredible moments, but also very hard moments such as injuries I have no doubt that in this new stage that Marc is starting he will return to the top to continue making history and, above all, the most important thing, to enjoy his passion”.

As for Alex, Alzamora highlights that “he has been an example as an athlete. His work, sacrifice and professionalism have led him to hone his great talent and, without a doubt, I am very proud of everything I was able to contribute so that achieve his dreams. I’m sure the best for Alex is yet to come.”
