The emotional moment when two identical twins hold hands minutes after birth

Babies who grow up together in the womb undoubtedly establish a very special connection early on. In this case, they are also identical twins, something that happens in one in every 50,000 pregnancies, in which babies share a placenta and amniotic sac during pregnancy.

At birth, the little ones were placed skin to skin on their mother’s breast and the moment was most emotional. Without expecting it, just minutes after birth, the girls held hands as if to say “together in and out forever .”

They were born in January 2018 and their mother (@fitbreezylife), a nutrition professional and fitness instructor, shared the precious moment on her Instagram account and has stolen the hearts of thousands of people .

Friday 60118
1245PM I was finishing my quick arm workout at the gym .
200PM Doctors appointment to check the babies growth .
400PM Per Doctor I am being admitted into the hospital since I am already dilated & my water could break at any second The doctor had felt one of the babies foot during my exam . I wasnt allowed to go home or to get anything else or eatdrink anything from this point on.
430PM I call the hubby letting him know the babies will be arriving tonight .
500-800pm Time is flying, I am being monitored for contractions, I am calling my parents & asking the nurse 100 questions.
800PM I meet the doctors & the team that will be delivering the babies.
900pm Babies are here

Everything turned out great, babies came out healthy, as crazy as all of this was I remained calm through the entire process & was never in any severe pain. I believe everything happens for a reason and everything just fell into place. Even though this wasnt my original birth plan, I am thankful for how things turned out #usmcbaby #sandiegotwins #csectionmom #twinbirth #twinbelly #twincsection #twinmomlife #moditwins #moditwinpregnancy #twinbellybump #identicalbabies #identicalsisters

Identical twins

The girls are named Genesis and Genevie, and they are identical twins. What exactly does this mean? They come from a single zygote or from the same zygote , understanding by zygote the cell that results from the union of male and female sex cells and from which the embryo develops.

That is, a single egg is fertilized by a sperm . Later a cellular bipartition takes place and two different embryos originate, of the same sex. The separation happens days after the conception, and it can be said that the identical twins, at the beginning, were only one .

And why are they so similar? Because cell division originates two genetically identical cells that develop apart. However, there are twin brothers who have a lesser resemblance and this is because, although they share a very similar genotype, their genes are not identical .

In addition, there are always intrinsic traits in the complexion of each: they receive unequal nutrition during pregnancy, epigenetics influence after birth … and there are other variations in the development of both that can change their appearances during growth.
