Surely, most of us find babies very cute, and they cause us particular tenderness in their first weeks of life, when they are very small. However, the other side of that stage is rarely shown, which also has a side that is not so pretty.
Possibly that is why many mothers have found it funny to identify themselves and remember the little disasters of those first weeks, through a viral video on Instagram that shows that side that is not so beautiful with a newborn .
Posted on the Instagram account of Lindsay Arnold, a professional dancer who recently had her first baby, the video shows us small fragments of a normal day of a mother with a newborn at home .
Unlike those tender dreamy images where we can see babies sleeping peacefully in her bed or in mother’s arms, she shared with her followers behind the scenes that is not always shown .
The short video shows three scenarios that are common in life with a tiny baby: a diaper that could not contain all the poop (and that even the sheets got dirty), regurgitation and also, stains on clothes due to breastfeeding .
The video, which has been applauded by many mothers for showing a realistic picture of the newborn stage with a lot of humor , has received many positive comments, including some advice from experienced mothers to reduce these disasters a bit.
It has made me remember a little those first months with my daughter, but it has also made me think about how quickly time passes, and that after all, each stage has its pretty and not so pretty side .
