The Last of Us 2 looks better than ever thanks to the 60fps patch and this comparison between Sony consoles proves it

Prayers and prayers to Naughty Dog have paid off. While works such as Days Gone or Ghost of Tsushima have long enjoyed corresponding improvements on PS5, the latest work by the developer remained unchanged.

That ended today, with the sudden announcement by the development team that they have unlocked the framerate for Sony’s next-gen console. Now, The Last of Us 2 looks at a fantastic 60fps , as you can see in the comparison below.

Patch 1.08, it should be remembered, only improves that aspect , in a similar way to what happens with God of War, while running in backward compatibility mode. Three consoles have been put face to face: PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5.

When it comes to resolution, both the Pro and PS5 versions do better at 2560x1440p on both machines. The rest of sections such as textures, shadows or drawing distance do not present differences , since that section has not been retouched.

Where there are differences is in those 60 frames per second, showing great fluidity for the most intense moments, such as fighting with humans. In addition, the stability is total in this sense, without falls at any time. Surprisingly, the latest loading times are provided by PS4 Pro with a significant difference compared to the normal PS4 model and the PS5.
