The most classic arcade shooter returns: Metal Slug: Awakening shows its first gameplay for iOS and Android

We knew that it was in development, that it was progressing well, and that we couldn’t resist the urge to see it. After the last repertoire of titles shown by Tencent, we finally got a look at Metal Slug: Awakening .

It is one of the two titles of the classic franchise that is in development. While one focuses on consoles, this one is aimed at Android and iOS mobile devices and is developed by TiMi Studio, a subsidiary of the Chinese conglomerate. Here you have the first gameplay.

Under the authorization of SNK , the work is designed to be enjoyed by users between 10 and 20 years old. That is why the display of action that we see in the video may not be what Marco Rossi or Tarma Roving have used to.

Although it was revealed in its announcement that it would have a card system, it does not seem that it is something active in the gameplay and perhaps it focuses on improving different abilities of the characters. The truth is that it does seem that there will be a good bet for gravity changes , in addition to the fact that the graphics become 3D modeled.

Metal Slug: Awakening does not yet have a date for its launch, although it has been revealed that it will have a closed beta from June, but it will be focused solely on the Chinese territory. It’s time to prepare the weapons and keep waiting.
