The Omni Homestead in Hot Springs, Va

The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia, is one of America’s great historic spas, with natural hot springs that have drawn travelers since 1766. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and 20 other American presidents have been among its guests. The hot springs were prized for their healing properties by Native Americans. Today, hot springs fill the resort’s magnificent indoor pool, built in 1902, and the rustic Jefferson Pools, located five miles north in the town of Warm Springs.

It is by far the best and most famous of all the spas in Virginia.

The vast Georgian-style resort sits on 2,000 beautiful acres in the Allegheny Mountains, with 483 rooms and suites. The Homestead is famous for its championship golf, family atmosphere, and 34,000-square-foot Homestead spa.

The spa at The Omni Homestead is an expansive, state-of-the-art facility. A distinctive feature is the Aqua Thermal Suite, a unique European-inspired oasis with experimental rains, herbal laconium, a cooling room and a glass steam room centered on the ancient concept of ‘water healing’, practiced for centuries. in Europe, Asia and the Americas There are also heated loungers on the men’s and women’s side. Fueled by mineral spring waters drawn from the surrounding mountains, the Aqua Thermal Suite experience harmoniously aligns with The Homestead’s historic healing tradition of “taking in the waters.”

That same harmony can be experienced in the Jefferson Springs Spa Garden at The Omni Homestead. Jefferson Springs, a year-round adults-only sanctuary, features indigenous hot springs, therapeutic geothermal mineral bath, river reflexology bed, mixed Finnish sauna, spring-fed hot tub, and private poolside cabanas.
