Christmas in the Northwest is a series of Christmas music CDs benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital . The first CD, a compilation of Christmas songs by Northwest artists, was released in 1985. The title track, Christmas in the Northwest , by Brenda Kutz White has become one of the region’s favorite songs, and is frequently played on the radio during the season. In later years, albums were released with Northwest musicians such as Dave Matthews, Kenny G, and Heart. The success of the series has resulted in a full CD series, as well as live performances.
