The ultimate formula a mathematician used to win the lottery 14 times

How many times have we dreamed that we have a stroke of luck and we win the lottery? We play different draws over and over again in hopes of becoming millionaires overnight. However, it is important that we be realistic and bear in mind that the chances of this happening are very slim. The EuroMillions draw is one of the most popular, and the chance to win is one in 139,838,160. But not all is lost! Because Romanian mathematician Stefan Mandel seems to have the ultimate formula for winning the lottery. Putting his method into practice, he has managed to win the jackpot of a millionaire draw 14 times, nothing more and nothing less.

The method of the mathematician Stefan Mandel

As he explains himself, Stefan Mandel created the formula in the 1950s, when he was working as an economist in Romania. Back then, the government offered its citizens a state lottery draw . Thanks to his skill with numbers and after endless calculations, the mathematician came up with the formula for success: a combination of mathematical operations to predict five of the six winning numbers out of a total of 40 options.

To check that his formula worked, he and three friends entered the raffle. Although Stefan Manpira was aiming for the second prize, which only required five hits, all four took the first prize .

In the 1980s he moved to Australia, where he decided to put his method to the test. Being a different system, it did not try to predict the winning combination, but instead focused on obtaining the highest number of tickets with different possible combinations . And it worked, because he won 12 raffle prizes during the times he tried.

With the money he won, the Romanian mathematician decided to start a legal investment fund to work with his formula and distribute the profits won from the lottery . From this moment on, he began to play in those draws in which the prize was three times greater than the number of possible combinations.

His success took him to the United States, where he earned about $ 30 million. When he revealed his method, the FBI and CIA investigated him , and the American lottery system limited the number of tickets each player could buy. In 1995 he emigrated to Israel, but the Securities Authority began to come after him, and he was forced to flee to London.

In 2004 he was sentenced to ten months in prison and a fine of about $ 30,000. To this day it is believed that the Romanian mathematician lives in Vanuatu , enjoying his immense fortune.
