Plaza Salvador is one of the most popular squares in Seville. Its tapas bar is a popular meeting point for Sevillians embarking on a great night out. Those who can’t afford the bars (and in many cases are too young to go to a bar) congregate on the steps leading to the church.

Parellel to Plaza Salvador is Plaza de Pan (also known as Plaza Jesús de la Pasión), a smaller and more discreet square but still worth a walk.

Seville Town Hall

What is special about the Seville City Council?

The Seville City Hall is a beautiful building with two very different facades: the Plaza Nueva side is neoclassical, while the Plaza San Francisco side is Renaissance. Note that the Renaissance style is not finished – the left side is heavily ornamented but fades as you move to the right. This is because the architect who designed it died during the construction process, taking his vision with him.
