Motorsport.com invites you, after each Saturday of the 2022 Formula 1 season (or Friday in the case of a sprint race), to take stock of the duels between teammates in qualifying. This is a purely statistical experiment, it means nothing.
It’s a curious game considering that qualifying is when the drivers are going at the speed limit, on less fuel and looking for their best lap of the weekend. In addition, in 2022 they are not obliged to go out with the tires with which they go to Q3, so even in Q2 the duels will almost always be on soft.

The head-to-head leaderboards are based on the official results of the qualifying session, not on the final grid position on Sunday, in which the drivers finally start. Therefore, sanctions that may be imposed before or after the sessions, such as five positions for replacing the gearbox or more for changing the engine, are not taken into account.
When a technical problem or any other clearly identified incident affects a driver (such as the Tsunoda breakdown in Saudi Arabia or the Albon explosion in Imola) and does not allow him to set a time or a chrono that is representative (and logical), will be indicated, as far as possible, in this table, and will not be counted.
If a driver cannot dispute the classification due to an accident in free practice or the team decides not to remove him because he has a sanction, he will not be taken into account for this face-to-face, but if he suffers an incident during qualifying (in Q1, Q2 or Q3, as Latifi in Q1 in Jeddah or Q1 in Australia, Mick Schumacher in Q2 in Arabia or Stroll in Q1 in Australia), it is counted because it is usually due to his own error.
In the sprint format (which this year is at Imola, Spielberg and Interlagos), the head-to-head is taken into account in qualifying on Friday instead of the qualifying sprint race on Saturday.
