This lab pays you to get infected with coronavirus

You just have to sit for two weeks doing nothing. Exercise is prohibited and you will find yourself completely isolated for the duration of the experiment. You will receive just over 4,000 euros for your service. The handicap is that you will have to accept being deliberately infected with a coronavirus.

After Chinese scientists published the genetic data on the novel SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, researchers from around the world have joined in the effort to find a vaccine. And a UK laboratory has launched this experiment that, previously, Hviv or, the English laboratory in question, must obtain the permission of the Regulatory Agency for Medicines and Health Products of the United Kingdom.

Experts are already looking for 24 volunteers for a medical trial that aims to find a vaccine for COVID-19. Participants will be injected with two weaker strains of the coronavirus, 0C43 and 229E, which can cause mild respiratory illness. The volunteers will be quarantined for 14 days and monitored by doctors and nurses with protective equipment, who will be their only means of human contact during these days.

According to The Times , Hvivo, which runs the quarantine lab at the Queen Mary BioEnterprises Innovation Center in London, is one of many companies developing a vaccine to fight COVID-19.
