The final will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and will be hosted by Mario López and Olivia Culpo. The show will also feature a musical presentation by Pitbull.

The representatives of 74 countries will seek to keep the scepter that not only rewards beauty and physical aspects, but also seeks a series of outstanding characteristics that comprehensively represent today’s women and their challenges. An instance in which the Colombian candidate Laura Olascagua must stand out in the different stages of the competition if she wants to join the list of 23 winners from Latin America. The first of these instances will be subject to popular election, since the most voted candidates will become part of the Top 21, from where the new queen will be chosen.
The 69th edition of Miss Universe would be held in December 2020 , but had to be suspended by the organization due to the complications generated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
