Breaking through the lower categories is something that very few have been able to do, even less if we talk about making the leap to Formula 1, although there are cases in which it has happened, such as Fernando Alonso. The Spanish pilot established himself in the modalities that preceded the Great Circus, where he became a legend thanks, among other things, to his two world titles.

Despite the fact that at 41 years of age he is still in the elite, the man from Oviedo also has his sights set on managing the sports careers of other young stars, and proof of this is his representation agency, A14 Management, which includes Clement Novalak , Pepe Martí and the newly crowned Spanish F4 champion, Nikola Tsolov .

The Bulgarian, born even after Alonso had already won the Formula 1 title, dominated without opposition in the single-seater category that allows the jewels of karts to give way to the categories closest to the Great Circus. In the absence of a round in November at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the one represented by the Asturian mathematically won the title in Navarra.

Tsolov is 93 points ahead of his closest rival, the Australian and Campos Racing teammate Hugh Barter , but he can now safely celebrate his achievement. Alonso, through his social networks, despite the painful abandonment he suffered at the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix, wanted to dedicate a few words to the Bulgarian.

“From DPK Racing and FA Kart to being crowned single-seater F4 champion at the age of 15. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo,” wrote the two-time Formula 1 World Champion. “Thank you Alpine, Castrol, Finetwork and Bell Racing. Proud of A14 Management.”

In addition to the Spanish team, the Campos team joined the celebration on their Instagram account with another message: “Incredible achievement by Nikola Tsolov, who takes the title with one test remaining. We are very proud!”

The pilot himself also celebrated in style, and that being champion of a category that can allow him to make the leap to more powerful single-seaters, allowed him to show his joy: “Thank you to everyone at Campos Racing, A14 Management, Alpine, and Fernando Alonso, to all my friends, family and fans who are there and support me full time!”

“Our dream has come true, now we have one more round left and we have to go for what’s coming,” said the young Bulgarian after winning the Spanish F4.
