Two dead in a small plane crash in the Siebengebirge

The flight over the Siebengebirge ends fatally for two people. Rescue workers rush to the crash site and find the destroyed propeller plane. The cause is unclear.

Königswinter – A small plane crashed in the Siebengebirge near Königswinter. So far, two dead have been found, said a police spokesman on Monday morning in Bonn. Rescue workers continued to search the area. How many people were on board is still unclear.

Why the propeller plane crashed has not yet been clarified either – there had been fog that morning, which is not uncommon in the area for the time of year.

Experts from the Braunschweig Federal Office for Aircraft Accident Investigation set out to get an on-site picture and to find out the cause. The crash site is not far from the Löwenburg fortress ruins in the middle of the forest. dpa
