Duisburg – During a failed fishing trip, a 47-year-old from Duisburg did not pull big fish ashore – instead, his car ended up hanging on the hook of a fire brigade ship.
As the police announced, the man had parked on the night of Wednesday at the Duisburg harbor directly on the water and started unloading fishing accessories. He obviously forgot to put on the handbrake.
The car rolled down an embankment, fell into the water, and sank. The fire brigade and police would have needed four hours for the elaborate night rescue operation. The careless angler took home an advertisement instead of tasty fish. dpa
