The start of the summer holidays for the F1 drivers coincides with the end of the break for the MotoGP drivers, who return to action this weekend with the British Grand Prix.
Before that, however, the 2021 world champion, Fabio Quartararo, shared a fun day on the beach with the very British F1 champion Lewis Hamilton on the shores of Monaco.
Both were enjoying this Tuesday on some surfboards moved by an electric motor, a modality that is causing a furor due to the performance of the contraption, capable of reaching 64 km / h on the surface of the sea.
In a video uploaded to his social networks by Hamilton (and that Quartararo shared on his social networks), you can see the Mercedes and Yamaha drivers jumping the waves off the coast of Monaco and trying to do some pirouettes with more or less skill .
“And off we go!! Summer break kicked off with a much needed day on the water. @fabioquartararo20 always a treat. Some amazing weeks ahead for sure,” Hamilton writes in his post.
The meeting between both drivers and Formula 1 and MotoGP champions was organized by the Monegasque brand Ride Esurf , which is the one who produces this board weighing just 24 kilograms capable of exceeding sixty kilometers per hour with a range of 45 minutes.
Precisely in recent weeks Fabio Quartararo has stressed his interest in testing an F1 car, something he hoped to “do soon”, and was present at the recent French Grand Prix invited by Mercedes.
Hamilton, through its association with Monster, was a participant three years ago, at the end of 2019, in a MotoGP-F1 exchange with Valentino Rossi at the Valencia circuit. Will you look for another opportunity to test two wheels and leave your car to Quartararo in the future?
