The MotoGP race started in the worst possible way. Marc Márquez suffered a scare on his RC213V and Fabio Quartararo collided with him, going to the ground at turn three.
A few apexes later, at turn eight, Nakagami touched Marc, and ran several meters in the middle of the track surrounded by bikes. Márquez’s holeshot was blocked, as a result of contact with Quartararo, and he was unable to avoid the collision.
In this way, in just eight vertices, the leader of the general, Fabio Quartararo, finished out of the race; Takaaki Nakagami, who had led the warm up , too; and Marc Márquez, whose motorcycle was affected by the multiple touches, had to head to the pit lane .
Marc Márquez’s return is thus truncated. The Honda rider started from 13th position, and had completed a good start.
For his part, Fabio Quartararo sees how he adds a zero in a race in which Bagnaia could get his fifth consecutive victory. In addition, he was in pain, since in addition to the strong blow, the motorcycle ran over him, hitting the Frenchman’s chest.
Both accidents, but especially the second of them, formed a large pile of drivers, who had to go off the track to avoid contact with Nakagami.
