The Portimao Racetrack has witnessed the return of Marc Márquez to a World Cup circuit. The driver from Cervera went to the Portuguese asphalt this morning in order to study his chances of arriving prepared for the pre-season tests that will take place on February 5 and 6 in Sepang.

After officially announcing that he did not need surgery for his eye injury , Marc Márquez began preparing for his return to MotoGP , a long-awaited return for the Catalan, who has had a vacation between seasons aimed at recovering from his diplopia.

Together with the training carried out last Thursday on a cross circuit after obtaining the ophthalmologist’s approval, this is the second time that #93 can be seen on two wheels. In this way, an evident improvement in the status of the eighth champion is confirmed, who has already missed the 2021 preseason due to his right arm injury .

As we can see in the video posted on the Repsol Honda Team social networks, this bike has accompanied the rider from Cervera in a decisive test shared with his brother that will open the doors to a season that will start on March 6. in Qatar and to which he hopes to arrive fully recovered.

In this way, Marc Márquez closes the possibility of stopping racing, put on the table on numerous occasions due to the sensitive eye injury, produced on October 30 and coinciding with the last two races of the season.
