Contrary to popular belief, domestic cattle are not the wolf's favorite food. They prefer wild boar, foxes, roe deer or a wild deer for food. They hunt the pack, perfectly coordinated by an alpha male. The herds are grouped between six and twenty animals, usually led by a dominant pair.
The hunting habits of the wolf
The wolves stalk the deer herds in search of signs of fatigue or illness in an individual, on which they will tighten the fence. The chase continues until the weakest succumbs.
When it is time to eat, they demonstrate with gestures of power and submission their strict social hierarchy. When the alpha male has satiated, he will allow the rest to account for the feast.
