The MotoGP World Championship arrives in Mugello this weekend after more than a year of absence due to the pandemic, which forced the Italian weekend to be canceled last year. For this reason, the VR46 team has decided to present a special livery on Luca Marini ‘s Ducati, which will wear the colors of the Italian flag.
For Marini this weekend will be his first race at Mugello with MotoGP, a very special track for his brother Valentino Rossi , where he achieved so much success in the past.
“It will be an important round for me. The track is my favorite on the entire calendar and it’s always great to race there,” says Marini.
“This year I will come back here riding a MotoGP . Ducati has always been strong at Mugello, I hope to do well and have fun”, adds the Italian rider.
“It will be a special weekend, a key race for me and I want to enjoy it from the beginning to the finish line,” he says.
Marini has not yet been able to reach any top 10, his goal every weekend, in the first five races of the course, recording a 12th place in Portimao and in the last race of Le Mans, as best results, although experiencing an obvious step forward in France weekend.
