” In a world where people collect pocket monsters (Pokémon) to fight, a boy meets a clever monster looking to be a detective.” This is the premise of the long-awaited film based on the successful Pokémon video game saga.
The first Pokémon action movie is already in theaters. As we could see in his first trailer, released by Legendary Pictures and The Pokémon Company , the voice of Pikachu is played by actor Ryan Reynolds as a very hairy version of the most well-known character in the franchise.
Detective Pikachu follows a young man named Tim (Justice Smith), whose father mysteriously disappeared. Tim teams up with Pikachu, his father’s former partner – who also speaks.
The movie is inspired by the game of the same name, which also features Pikachu with the necessary ability to speak. It is impossible not to mention the hyper-realistic style that the creators of the film wanted to adopt for this film. For a sample, it is best that you see the trailer.
Every Pokémon from our childhood is now a textured monster; from Jigglypuff fur to whatever is going on with Charizard. Some have found Pikachu resembling Winnie the Pooh. What do you think?
The trailer also has several interesting Pokémon nods, including posters featuring Victini, Wooper, Petilil, and more. There were also several posters that featured both regular and legendary Pokémon, such as Rayquaza, Reshiram, and Zekrom.
