We can find it under the name of "skypunch" or "fallstreak hole" , but this huge hole in the sky so characteristic is a clear example of the wonders of our nature . We are talking about clouds.
The hole in the sky represents a large void of elliptical or circular shape that can appear in middle clouds such as Altocumulus (medium-sized, white to grayish clouds, in the form of layers or patches) or Cirrocumulus (clouds higher than Altocumulus and do not produce shade). The phenomenon occurs when the temperature of the water residing in the clouds is below zero but has not frozen; thus, in the absence of ice nucleating particles, the water droplets around the crystals disappear creating a domino effect and producing the pronounced hole inside the cloud.
Because their process is not so extravagant, they are not exclusive to a single geographical area, so it is possible to find them in many places on the planet. However, they are not as common as we would like , as observing them is quite a spectacle for cloud lovers.
