Johann Zarco set the pace in the return of the MotoGP World Championship to the Australian Phillip Island circuit. The French driver did not give an option in either of the two training sessions, setting the best time in both sessions.
Fabio Quartararo, who leads the general classification with little margin for error, finished the day with the fourth fastest time in the combined classification, while his main rivals, Pecco Bagnaia and Aleix Espargaró, did so in seventh and eighth position, respectively.
