Johann Zarco, in any case, was the fastest and took advantage of the first moments to record a lap 1.4 seconds faster than Maverick Viñales, his closest pursuer.
Fabio Quartararo finished third, already one second behind the Aprilia rider, while Miguel Oliveira, one of the specialists with a wet floor, placed fourth.
Alex Rins finished fifth, ahead of Jack Miller (sixth) and Darryn Binder (seventh). Pol Espargaró (eighth), preceded Jorge Martín (ninth), the author of the pole position, and Joan Mir, who closed a top ten that will surely have nothing to do with what will happen later, in the race.
Marc Márquez, for his part, finished last after suffering a fall without consequences when he was practically standing still, the Honda rider was unable to complete any spin he launched and, therefore, did not set time. Already on the way out of the box, the Spaniard’s motorcycle gave him a whiplash in the pit lane and when he reached the second corner he fell to the ground in a strange fall without further consequences.
