The shiba inu is a canine breed of the spitz type (according to the classification of the International Cynological Federation) and, apparently, one of the oldest in the world. Of short stature and a compact and robust body, they are independent dogs but also very loyal and affectionate with their own. Of course, they can be quite nervous (although as always this also depends on the personality of each dog) so a good education and early socialization, as well as adequate exercise, will help us to be balanced as adults.
In its origins, this dog of Japanese roots was mainly used as a hunting dog, although now it is very popular as a companion dog. And not only that, but it is one of the dogs that most lends itself to funny photos, due to its peculiar expression and its rounded and stubby tail.
